Organized Chaos!

We're back (at a new location)! Join us at Moondance 2012, a festival celebrating the harmony of our community, in the tradition of the civilized savage at the mercy of the woods. Bullshit, bullshit, ad nauseam.

Moondance 2012 will feature classes throughout the weekend on various topics, usually including drumming, sacred massage, chanting, and meditation. Other activities include drum circles, live music and an open ritual to celebrate the dance of the seasons.
NOTE: We especially need people to volunteer to lead classes and rituals, and food vendors are welcome. Leading a class or ritual counts as part of your community service to the festival, and does not grant you free or discounted admission (sorry!). Please see Class Volunteer Form to volunteer.

About the site:

NEW SITE: The festival will be at Cherokee Farms, Lafayette, Georgia. It is a primitive camping site, with plenty of room for camping, parking, and even RVs and campers (but no sewage or water hookups). It has large open fields, deep woods, a pond to swim in, a great covered stage, showers, and a nice covered pavilion. It's also very private: clothing optional. There are also reasonably priced hotels within 5 miles.

PETS and service animals are allowed at Cherokee Farms ($35 fee for pets). All animals must have proof of current vaccines (bring paper from your vet). Animals (especially dogs, and including service animals) must be well- behaved and under physical control at all times (this means leashed or crated, not running loose or under verbal command). You must clean up after your pet, so that "doggie bombs" are not left behind for others to step in. The fee for pets is $35; service animals are always free, but must meet above guidelines.

Also, illegal substances are absolutely forbidden, by any and all people!! This is very important - if you can't abstain for the weekend, please stay home. We run the risk of losing the site and our freedoms otherwise.

The site will open Thursday, May 10, at 12:00 noon Eastern Daylight Time, and close Sunday, May 13, at 12:00 noon EDT.
