Organized Chaos!

We're back! Join us at Moondance 2008 a festival celebrating the harmony of our community, in the tradition of the civilized savage at the mercy of the woods. Bullshit, bullshit, ad nauseam.

Moondance 2008 will feature classes throughout the weekend on various topics, usually including drumming, sacred massage, chanting, and meditation. Other activities include an opening ritual on Friday night, a POT-LUCK feast (bring your own plates, bowls, and utensils; no storage in Kitchen for food) on Saturday night, and an open Faerie Faith ritual to celebrate the dance of the seasons on Sunday night. All nights will feature bonfires, music, dancing, and general revelry.
NOTE: We especially need people to volunteer to lead classes and rituals, and food vendors are welcome (deadline for class info and vendor registrations is May 9). Leading a class or ritual counts as part of your community service to the festival, and does not grant you free admission (sorry!). Please see Class Volunteer Form to volunteer.

PLEASE NOTE: Moondance and FallFling are run strictly by Linda Kerr, and are not run by or associated with Church of the Spiral Tree (CST) in any way. CST participates at the festivals as a vendor, under the same guidelines as everyone else.

About the site:

The festival will be at "Dragon Hills" near Carrollton, Georgia. It is a mostly primitive camping site - no cabins, but plenty of camping and parking space. It has rolling hills with lovely wooded areas, a pond for cooling off, covered stage, sinks for dishwashing, (Kitchen is off-limits, no storage for food), real showers, outhouses, and a nice covered pavilion for classes. It's also very private: clothing optional. There are also reasonably priced hotels within 20 miles.

PETS: DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED at Dragon Hills. A very few exceptions will be made for dogs who are special needs dogs who absolutely cannot stay by themselves, with friends, or in a kennel, or for are helper dogs, but all dogs will be charged $20 each admission, and must be registered when their person registers. All dogs must be kept on a leash or otherwise contained at all times, quiet (no barking), and under control at all times (no jumping on people, no stealing food). Dogs who fight, bark overly much, steal food, or pee on tents and merchants' items will not be invited back. Be responsible, so that you and your dog will be invited to return.

Also, illegal substances are absolutely forbidden, by any and all people!! This is very important - if you can't abstain for the weekend, please stay home. We run the risk of losing the site and our freedoms otherwise.

The site will open Thursday, May 22, at 2:00 Eastern Daylight Time, and close Monday, May 26, at 12:00 EDT.
