1) PLEASE PRE-REGISTER AND PRE-PAY!! Because there is limited parking space at Roxanna, any festivals there are capped at 100 attendees. The land just will not hold any more people and cars than that. Precedence will be given to those who have pre-paid; this includes day-trippers.
2) Directions will only be sent to those who pre-register. You may pay at the gate (if the cap of 100 people has not yet been reached when you arrive), but please let us know you'll be there. Also, we need to know how many to plan for, so we can have enough portapotties.
We always need people to volunteer to lead classes and rituals. Food vendors are also welcome. Leading a class or ritual counts as part of your community service to the festival, and does not grant you free or discounted admission (sorry!). Please see Class/Ritual Volunteer Form to volunteer.
About the site:
SITE: The festival will be at Roxanna, Auburn, Alabama, which is a beautiful, highly spiritual, and mostly primitive camping site. Roxanna is 30 acres, with clearings, woods, a tiny pond, and magnificent expanses of exposed bedrock. The site has electricity, running water, and the world's most awesome *hot* showers. Currently there are no shelters, but one may be partially completed by FallFling. Roxanna is also very private: alcohol allowed, clothing optional. There are also reasonably priced hotels within 30 miles.
PETS and service animals are allowed at Roxanna ($25 fee for pets). All animals must have proof of current vaccines (bring paper from your vet). Animals (especially dogs, and including service animals) must be well- behaved and under physical control at all times (this means leashed or crated, not running loose or under verbal command). You must clean up after your pet, so that "doggie bombs" are not left behind for others to step in. The fee for pets is $25; service animals are always free, but must meet above guidelines.
Also, illegal substances are absolutely forbidden, by any and all people!! This is very important - if you can't abstain for the weekend, please stay home. We run the risk of losing the site and our freedoms otherwise.
The site will open Thursday, October 10, at 12:00 noon Central Daylight Time, and close Sunday, October 13, at 12:00 noon CDT.
