January 15-17, 2010
Presented by Carolina Spirit Quest
Fairy Stone State Park, Stuart, VA
Join Carolina Spirit Quest at the fifth annual - Winter Quest! So many of us have jobs that
don't allow us to listen to the cycles of the natural world, particularly in the winter when Nature's
message is one of rest and renewal. The purpose of Winter Quest is to listen to the rhythms of
Nature and to do quiet reflective and nurturing rituals and activities. This weekend event, like
last year's, will follow a pattern similar to that of a Spring Quest - but on a more leisurely pace
and scaled back participation. Registration is limited to 32 participants. When the wheel turns to
the chilled short days of winter, it is time for introspection once again. This January, we will be
continuing our process of looking inwards in the wintertime. The theme for the Winter Quest
event is "Our Sacred Community."

Bringing Back Old Traditions - Although this event has a Pagan theme, all are welcome.
We have recently noticed Pagan events slipping into modern technology themes with recorded
music dance parties and adult only themes. While we agree that the dance parties are fun and
consenting adults should be allowed to do what they want, we would like to try to preserve the
Pagan events of a few years ago the way we remember them. Fire circle with drumming and
dancing all night; Bardic circle with music, sing alongs, stories and jokes; workshops that are
very basic and some that are a bit advanced; Meet and Greets where people can meet and get to
know each other; Saturday evening community feast; vendors with hand made crafts are just a
few of the things we have in mind. Come out and get involved.

Dreaming is a gathering of pagans, poets, musicians, artists, engineers, dancers, hedonists,
lovers of life, and builders of dreams. Dreaming is a chance to see your self in the world in a new
light, and to explore new possibilities. We want to create an environment of complete freedom
and radical self expression. The only rules we will impose are those that protect the life, liberty,
and property of others. Dreaming will be an experiment in liberty. Of course, complete freedom
comes with complete responsibility. Be prepared for the challenge. The name of our event
"Dreaming" was chosen very specifically. Within dreams we can be and do anything. Magic is
real and the only limits are those of our imaginations. Dreams serve to teach us, and to inspire
us. If our hearts are strong, and our visions clear, sometimes we can drag those nocturnal visions
out into the daylight, and make our dreams come true. From every dream, there must be an
awakening. Through our event, we hope to bring an awakening within our participants. We will
awaken the unity of mind, body, and spirit. We will awaken the unity of Humanity, Nature and
God. We will awaken to beauty and possibilities that we had never considered.

Dragon Hills, near Carrollton, GA
The idea of an outdoor nature jamboree came when watching a group of teens at a pagan
festival being, well, kids. I watched as they were making friends and socializing. While my own
son goes to public school, several of the kids were homeschooled. Most Christian homeschooled
kids are able to socialize at church functions, but what about pagan homeschoolers? Thus the
idea was formed to create a retreat for the kids to meet and socialize and make new friends in a
friendly and safe environment. In the midst of forming the idea for a retreat for pagan
homeschoolers, we formed a SpiralScouts ProtoCircle. We are working toward our charter.
This would be a perfect platform to introduce SpiralScouts to other pagan kids, and would give
the existing scouts new opportunities to work toward badges and pins.

All life has rhythm and anyone can produce it just by breathing in and out. Rhythm is in the
music of nature. It's the syncopated groove we get into in our daily rituals. It's the intonation of
our words expressing the wide range of our emotions. It is our very movements, our life-dance--
all impelling us to move, to speak, to sing, to gather and make music.
How many times have you heard or even said yourself, "I can't play, I'm not as good as him
or her." Or, "I can't dance, they look better doing it than me." Remind yourself - the seeker does
not have to bee a drummer, or a dancer, or a singer. The seeker need only be willing to open up
to the music and rhythm flowing all around them. You just might be surprised how it nourishes a
deep place within you when you surrender to the healing and transformational power of rhythm.
Join us for a weekend of camping, drumming, dancing, workshops, professional
performances, guest teachers, and all things rhythmic at The Log Cabin Campground!

In September 2009, the Connecticut Wiccan and Pagan Network, Inc. (CWPN) obtained the
festival formerly known as Harvest Home Gathering (HHG). It is with great excitement and
expectation that the CWPN will be sponsoring this event in September 2010. Let us now gather
together to celebrate and give thanks for the harvest that will sustain us through the dark months
ahead. Join us for a gathering celebrating community, family, home and the harvest.
Harvest Gathering is an indoor/outdoor event, which promotes celebration, knowledge,
spirituality, enlightenment, family and fellowship. By virtue of its very name, we embrace the
collective spirit of our kindred. Together we plant the seeds of our future and together we shall
enjoy the fruitful harvest of our collective efforts.
The weekend will consist of approximately 30 classes and workshops with World
Renowned Authors, a live concert, a Dance featuring D.J. music, and a Renaissance Feast with
bards and wenches. There will also be nightly drumming circles, nightly bonfires and an
assortment of vendors! In order to build and maintain "community" we ask that once you arrive
on site, you remain until the end of the gathering on Sunday.
Harvest Gathering is both honored and privileged to offer a variety of well-known and
respected speakers from various disciplines including: Witchcraft, Celtic Studies, Shamanism,
Thelemic and Ceremonial Magic, Voodoo, Norse Spirituality and more.

Hawkfest is a Drum and Dance Festival put on BY Drummers and Dancers! Started as a
small gathering of friends who are dedicated to the joy and fun of dancing and drumming,
Hawkfest has become a gathering where dancers and drummers, fire spinners and hoopers gather
to share techniques, music, and to expand their knowledge. For the past two years, we have come
together creating Magickal and unforgettable experiences! Hawkfest is an Adults ONLY
festival someplace where adults come together in a safe place for GROWN UP TIME! We
have done this for a few reasons. Not only is this a time for Adult fun, the gathering has areas
where Skyclad (full nudity) is permitted. In the past kids have been part of our gathering. The
adults who attend want to feel the freedom to be Adults. Most children were not raised in such a
free and open culture. Because of this, we prefer that those who come to Hawkfest be 18 years
of age and over. In case you haven't figured it out yet, HAWKFEST IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT!
Every night transports you into a place where you can dance, drum, spin, hoop, and celebrate
until the sun rises! It is a time outside of time where we set aside egos and drum and dance
finding the rhythmic ecstasy of our extraordinary lives. Dancers, Fire Spinners and Hoopers
come to Hawkfest to experience not only their own heart and soul but the hearts and souls of
everyone in the Circle each other and the drummers. You will walk away from Hawkfest a
better player, a better dancer, a better hooper, or a better fire spinner!!!
