January 18-20, 2008
Presented by Carolina Spirit Quest
Fairy Stone State Park, Stuart, VA
Join Carolina Spirit Quest at the fifth annual - Winter Quest! So many of us have jobs that
don't allow us to listen to the cycles of the natural world, particularly in the winter when Nature's
message is one of rest and renewal. The purpose of Winter Quest is to listen to the rhythms of
Nature and to do quiet reflective and nurturing rituals and activities. This weekend event, like
last year's, will follow a pattern similar to that of a Spring Quest - but on a more leisurely pace
and scaled back participation. Registration is limited to 32 participants. When the wheel turns to
the chilled short days of winter, it is time for introspection once again. This January, we will be
continuing our process of looking inwards in the wintertime. The theme for the Winter Quest
event is "Our Sacred Community."

One of the oldest and largest of the Pagan festivals, held annually since 1981, is a special
week long festival that celebrates the Summer Solstice, Pagan culture, and the spiritual
dimensions of Nature. PSG brings Pagans from many paths and from places across the country
together to share ideas, knowledge, energy, music, rituals, friendship, and celebration with each
other. Participants live cooperatively for the week within a totally Pagan community located in a
secluded rural valley. PSG has more than 150 scheduled activities each year, including rituals,
workshops, concerts, and networking meetings. Rituals will be led by a variety of facilitators in
different traditions, including Summer Solstice Rituals, a Magical Gift Circle, a Candlelight
Labyrinth of 1000 candles, Drum Circles, Sweatlodge ceremonies, Rites of Passage, plus
Women's and Men's Rituals. Evening concerts will be performed by various nationally known
Pagan artists, including Coyote Run, The One Hat Band, Spiral Rhythm, Green Grown, and
Michelle the violinist extraordinare. Workshops are given daily on a wide range of Pagan topics.
Previous
subjects have included Wiccan Ways, Goddess Spirituality, Celtic Studies, Creative Arts,

Richmond, VA
Bringing together Pagans from across the country, the PLSC is a four-day gathering for
networking, resource sharing, and in-depth training in the "nuts and bolts" skills necessary to
create, maintain, and strengthen local Pagan initiatives. An evolutionary outgrowth of the
Mid-Atlantic Pagan Leadership Conference series, the 2008 PLSC curriculum offers solid
instruction in community-critical topics such as publicity and promotion, group facilitation,
conflict resolution, accounting, pastoral care and board development. Open to everyone, the
PLSC is one of the first events of its kind specifically tailored for individuals starting (or already
working with) a Pagan group. We encourage you to send your board members, trustees, inner
council members, activists, and group leaders to this important intensive in community
organizing and development.
