The Lodge at Turtle Lake on Facebook
PFR is an intimate family-friendly Pagan gathering, with classes, live music, a ritual, and a potluck on Saturday evening. Bring a contribution for the potluck and your camping gear. There is a 7-acre lake, so canoes, kayaks, and fishing are welcome (but beware the alligators). Most of the site is clothing optional, but please, if you can see the road (and cars can see you), then you must be clothed. No dogs; other animals may be allowed after consideration, and no illegal substances whatsoever.
Pre-Register: Please, please, PLEASE pre-register! We really seriously need to know how many people to expect so we can make plans, such as how many portapotties to rent. How many RVs will be there? How much toilet paper should we buy? :) So help us out with our planning by registering ahead. You may still pay at the gate, but at least let us know that you will be there.
The Site:Turtle Lake is private property, consisting of several mostly flat acres, a very large lawn, a small cabin (the Lodge), and a school bus. There is ample camping room and trees to hang hammocks from. There is room for a very few campers and RVs. Please let us know ahead of time if you are bringing a camper or RV, and if you will need electricity for it (you will need an adapter to plug into the house current; there are no water or sewage hookups, and no generators are to be run near the main camping areas due to the noise). The lake is open for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing (bring your own boats, and yes, you can eat what you catch, except for the gators!). The site has an outdoor shower; more showers (and toilets) can be found by driving next door to Stephen's cabin.
Camper For Rent: Don't want to camp? Rent the 24-foot camper (1 bed, 2 converta-beds, sleeps 6 max) for $35/night. It has electricity, lights, air and heat, but no toilet or shower. To reserve, you must make one nights' deposit by November 1. Camper must be paid IN FULL by November 1 or reservation and deposit will be forfeited.
Prices: Admission (ages 15 and over; under 15 is free): Tier 1 - $30/person by October 1; Tier 2 - $40/person after that and at the gate. Daytrip (Saturday only) is $25. Vending space: $15. Basic electricity (for fans and lights only, bring your own power cords): $10. Electricity for RVs and campers: $25.
Legal Stuff: Everyone who registers for PFR must comply with the Rules listed on this website. Participants refusing to do so will be required to leave without refund. It is also expected that participants will comply with secular laws, including bringing no illegal substances whatsoever onto the site.
