The Gnostic Mass (Ritual) - by Dove & Serpent Oasis (Sunday, 3:30 pm)
The Gnostic Mass is a magickal eucharistic rite of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica. Based in ancient Gnostic Magickal traditions predating Christianity, this Mass includes the sacred feminine in the tradition of Magdalene and Helena. Both Priest and Priestess are needed for Mass not only because the eucharist is comprised of both masculine and feminine elements but because the sacred rite represented can be performed by the duality of these forces which exist within each of us.. It is an exposition of the Holy Grail through the Temple's layout being the Qabalistic Tree of Life as well as the Tantrik alternation of actions and energies between the Priest and Priestess, other ritual officers and the congregation. The consumption of the consecrated Host and Wine is not, as in other traditions, an acceptance of dogmatic control of the individual communicating by the church administering it, but as an advancement of one's own spiritual and magickal growth according to one's own Will. Wine will be used in Mass; parents or guardians must give their consent for minors to take wine. There will also be an non-alcoholic alternative for those who have declared it their true will to renounce alcohol. 1.5 hours, in the Great Hall.

Why should Christians have all the fun at revivals? This service will feature a sermon on opening your heart to the Goddess and the God. Then we'll ask for testimony from the congregation on the acts of the Gods in your life. Sometimes accepting the Gods into your life requires that you identify which ones you mean. Bring folding chairs. 1.5 hours, at the Pavilion. Richard went halfway through seminary in his Christian days, and has been a Methodist Church licensed preacher who once pastored Methodist Church. Now he's Unitarian and Pagan, and authorized by his denomination to do weddings, services, and funerals. He's also a college professor of Communication and has researched religious communication issues. Richard believes it is a sin to be dull.
