To be empowered by knowing we are not alone in our trials, our triumphs, our accomplishments, or our shortcomings. A special place for us to find refuge, to find sanctuary, to step into TEMPLE. A place to let go of all our roles, our positions, our titles, our notions of self, and our expectations so we can just be WOMEN. This is a three day intensive which means we will meet three days in a row. I encourage you to attend all three days to get the most from the experience but all three days are not required. Each Red Tent will begin by making a safe, confidential space for women to BE. We will breathe together, move on to "check in time" using a modified co-counseling method. After check-in we will employ safe exercises to allow for healing by way of emotional discharge and end with a cool down period. Breezes dance among the bud-filled branches of awakening trees; dew glistens on morning blooms; and, petals open to the gentle caress of the Sun God's hand. And our community rejoices as bale-fires are lit in honor of the union between The Lady and Her Lord. Join Circle of the Sacred Spirit (CSS) as we come together to celebrate and honor the turning of the Great Wheel of the Year. We will host a Wiccan celebration that welcomes the participation of all who come to our circle with love in their hearts. Our ritual will include the casting of circle to create sacred space, a magickal working, drumming and chanting to raise energy and will end with cakes and wine. We will respectfully incorporate "mirth and reverence," by dancing the Maypole as we honor Goddess, God, Spirit, the Four Cardinal Points (Quarters) and their corresponding Elements. **Please note: The calls will be "adult" in nature, but children are welcome in the ritual if their parents allow. Geomancy, which means Earth Divination, was a popular form of divination through most of Europe during the 14-16th centuries. though it fell out of favor during the 18th century in favor of Tarot and astrology. With origins in the Middle East, modern forms of Geomancy are still regularly consulted along the Ivory Coast of Africa. Readings consist of interpreting a random string of dots drawn in the sand or by tossing specially constructed dice. These dots are combined and recombined into a series of 16 geometric patterns that are then placed on a chart of 12 "houses" and read somewhat similarly to an Astrological chart. In many ways Geomancy and astrology are considered sister arts. 1 hour, in the Great Hall.
