Saturday, 11:00 am - Living Eclectic in a Conformists World - by Siryn
The term 'eclectic' has often been considered taboo. Why is that? Eclectic does not mean it has no structure, or it is 'neo,' nor does it necessarily mean indecisive. No matter what your belief, be it Pagan, Wiccan, Asatru, Faerie Faith, Christian, Indian, Vodou, etc.; Is that of a die- hard tradition for you or to incorporate spiritual philosophies as well? I mean philosophies such as Eastern, Mysticism, Theosophy, African indigenous, etc. This open forum is for you to share your belief system, discuss what makes you unique, and follow your path whole-heartedly and true, and share in this healthy debate. Please join us while we do a practical chart on where we have been, all the spiritual practices we instill in our daily lives, and where we are now with our own Religion. I will share, how I am eclectic, how I evolved to this point, and what my individual Path is which I live, breathe, and learn from each day. Please bring a chair or blanket. 1.5 hours, at the Bio-Buzz vending tent.

For several years at FallFling, Bio-Buzz has sponsored this gala in the Great Hall. We are incorporating participation to the next level; we're making it a pot-luck affair with appetizers, finger foods, and desserts. We will bring some dishes, and be providing punch as we always do.
There will be a costume contest. We'll have music with a live DJ playing seasonal as well as Steampunk music for dancing, games, and whole a lot of fun. So bring your best Steampunk regalia for what is going to be a fantastic event!
This years' theme is based on the Steampunk movement. Steampunk is a sub-genre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. Just think "The Golden Compass," "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen," and "Van Helsing." The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used - usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era England - but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions.
So be there, it takes YOU to make this event a success!
